Dear Readers

I have both good news and bad news.

The good news: Before the summer is over, I plan to start blogging again! The bad news: I will no longer blog here (at http://nostrawmen.blogspot.com), but instead at nostrawmen.com.

See you online!

Why Blogging Has Been Light (Again)

In no particular order:

1. I've been slammed at work.

2. When I'm on vacation, I try to take a break from the computer.

3. I've been reading books instead of articles.

4. I'm adopting a new blogging philosophy (owing to a recent conversation with Patrick Ruffini): Don't blog unless I have something to say. Focus more on what I can bring to the blogosphere—my spin on something—rather than regurgitating the wisdom of others. This new attitude will result in fewer posts, but, I hope, more thoughtful and more interesting ones.

Blogging Will Continue to Be Light...

... for the foreseeable future.

Even Bloggers Take Vacations

Sorry for the light posting recently, but I've been very busy this week, and probably won't be blogging until after the holiday.

In the meantime, check out Bluey's write-up of yesterday's new-media seminar at Heritage, which was as insightful as it was inspiring.

Almost Done

I've finally fixed the footer template for each post (capitalization, hyperlinks, organization and trackbacks). Once I figure out how to publish a 10-link RSS feed that's updated in real-time, with each link preceded by a bullet point (for clarity), I'll consider the blog out of beta and as version 1.0.

Spring Break

Apologies for the lack of blogging; I'll be back next week. In the meantime, have fun with (1) the new FeedBurner widget through which you can receive e-mails for each new post, and (2) a nifty label cloud (thanks phydeaux3). Finally, I'm still working on cleaning up the footer of each post.

Trackbacks

Please bear with me as I attempt to install trackbacks and clean up those links at the bottom of each post.

RSS Feeds

Since my traffic has considerably increased in the past 24 hours—thanks to this post at techPresident, this one at the Hotline, and this one from Rob Bluey—I just switched my RSS feeds from Blogger to FeedBurner. Externally there's no difference, but internally I can now track my RSS traffic.

Here's the feed for posts and here's the feed for comments.
