1. Senator Tom Coburn, MD (R-OK). Candidates must have outstanding written and verbal communications skills, 3-5 years experience in communications (Capitol Hill or campaign experience preferred), Web experience, a demonstrated commitment to limited government, and sound instincts. Day-to-day responsibilities will include writing op-eds, press releases and speeches, scheduling interviews, managing Web site, updating press lists, and editing constituent correspondence. Candidate will have previous press/communications experience, excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills, an understanding of major issues and politics, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects.
