John Bolton Joins ACU Board

Former Undersecretary of State and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton, has joined the board of directors of the American Conservative Union, the nation's oldest and largest grassroots advocacy organization on the right.

No announcement accompanied the appointment, but the relevant Web page on conservative.org has been updated. Similarly, Bolton's bio on the Web site of the American Enterprise Institute, where he currently serves as a senior fellow, does not note the appointment.

Bolton received the Courage under Fire award at the 2004 Conservative Political Action Conference, whose chief sponsor is the American Conservative Union Foundation.

Related: one year ago, on behalf of ACU chairman David Keene, I wrote a letter urging Bolton's speedy confirmation to the U.N.
