The Daily Dose

Boat Pond, Central Park, Manhattan

A consensus has congealed: Fred Thompson's use of the Internet to disseminate his ideas, and by extension his potential presidential campaign, is an unqualified boon.

The Hotline reports that Thompson's crack ghostwriter and p.r. guy is Mark Corallo.

The Hotline also reveals how much time each candidate got to speak and how many questions each received during Thursday's debate. In both categories, the winners were Romney, Rudy and then Brownback.

Supporters of Newt Gingrich and Fred Thompson have each launched Web sites to encourage these shadow candidates to run for president. Thompson's site is much more robust, and includes a blog, audio files of Thompson's radio spots, YouTube videos and RSS feeds, but both offer an electronic petition, a donation page, and links to the latest favorable news coverage.
