Making YouTube Work for Your Nonprofit

How do you provide your staff extra on-air training, while at the same time increasing your organization's exposure? The Heritage Foundation has the right idea: produce a weekly, YouTubed video wherein your experts preview the week ahead on Capitol Hill.

It should be noted that Heritage's libertarian sister, the Cato Institute, embraced new media about a year ago, when its EVP David Boaz (who, in addition to blogging at Cato at Liberty, moonlights at DavidBoaz.com) hired a staffer to create daily podcasts.

Update: NRO's Kathryn Jean Lopez echoes my thoughts on Heritage's YouTube machine: "They're making bookers['] jobs way too easy."
